Got this straight from the Creating Keepsakes newsletter. I've got to try this!

TRANSPARENCIES FROM TIM
http://newsflash.creatingkeepsakes.com/images/content_images/4088_image.jpgCKU Professor, Tim Holtz, teaches you how to create your own unique transparencies. First, apply clear packaging tape to patterned paper or cardstock. Rub the paper with a bone folder and trim to size of tape. Next, soak the taped paper in warm water for 5 minutes. You can then use your fingers to gently rub the paper off the tape, leaving the image behind. After it dries, you’ll have a hand-made transparency to accentuate your project.

Whoooopsie...forgot to post that pic before I deleted it...I will get one tomorrow for you all when it is good natural lighting. I put the small transparency in my book of tricks so that I remember what to do and what it will look like!

OK - so I'm going to be the geeky one who asks... how can this possibly be photo safe? It's not, right? Cool idea, but I will have to say no for that purpose.

Packing tape and clear plastic wrap are not my friends. I have never managed to get it off the roll without it sticking to itself or me or the counter or my shirt or the floor. I'm sure you get the picture.

We did something simular to this at CKU-M it was kind of interesting but I think if I want a transparency I would just print something off of the computer or stamp something straight on to a transparency.
