Definately my color drawers for embelishments!
Because once I have my colors picked...I just go to those 1 or 2 drawers....plenty to choose from that match my LO. No sorting thru piles of stuff that's cute but just won't go with what I'm working on...

putting things away after you use them....that's a good one. (not that I do it as much as I should).

I have made little kits with every thing I use when I ink in1 kit.another kit is every thing I distress with, paint kit, glitter kit,ect.ect.ect. the kits are any thing from baskets to old caboodles,my thread kit is in an old hat box, then i have a couple more with differnt kits in them..
This save me time because I just grab the kit that i need finish throw it all back in .
Another thing I use is albums to put stickers sheets and alph sheets in them that way I just thumb through to find what I need..(cheap storage is my favorite...lol)
I like all the ideas here because I´m really slow! I hope my organization class at BPS will help me here too!

Daleann, you are way too organized for me. I love the idea of kits but I just wouldn't ever do it. Now the albums for sticker sheets is great, one I could impliment. Thanks

ohh but much easier to grab what you need and alot less stress because you cant find some thing.and I find I keep a neater work area this way because you just throw evrything back in its kit

Sometimes I get out my "basket". This is a basket that I use BEFORE I start a page, I grab just a few certain supplies and I am restricted to using only what is in this basket...nothing else...and just go for it!

Love the idea about the albums with sticker sheets & alpha sheets...will have to do that one!
I'm a slow scrapper but I came across these yesterday & would like to print some off & plan pages before I actually set down with them. :)

What the heck? You guys are so organized. Maybe my LOs would look like your if I didn't fly by the seat of my pants so much. :)
Hey that's usually the way I am Melanie. I'm just trying to get myself more organized so maybe I can get more done. :)

Thanks Kate! That's a cool worksheet.
I'm trying to organize my pictues in a more meaningful way so that it's easier to decide which I want to scrap. That is what I stress over alot -- which pictures to use.

I think if I tried this....I would spend more time planning it than scrapping it. and usually I can scrap it in about 1/2 the time it would take to plan it. :don't know:
Sometimes I love to plan a LO but sometimes I just need to start to get my mojo running.

Well, I'm doing something right now that's not normal for me.
I'm going to a crop in April and so that I don't have to take everything but the kitchen sink with me (LOL!) I've been putting pics with inspirational l/o's from magazines/websites. Next, I get my PP for that page. Then I'll find the embellies and stuff needed to finish it up. I've got the CM Page Layout box thingy and I've been putting all the stuff in there. I hope when I get to this crop I can really knock 'em out!! And since I've been doing this, I've made it a point to go thru the old and the scraps first!!!!

Wanted to add--I'm sure that I will change my mind on several of these when it comes time to scrap them, but that's okay!

I love that Layout box from CM! It really works when I use it.

I have planned pages and made kits up when I go to Linda's to scrap...but I haven't done that in a couple of years  I do have my pattern paper all pretty much filed away in clear cello bags from "clearbags.com" that way I have all the paper that goes together in one spot. I have tried to fill out and preplan my pages but most of the time I don't. I have found tho that if I have a layout to lift...it gives me a great place to start and then I can find the paper and embellishments to use and go from there. :)

I have my ribbons sorted by color in seperate clear cookie jars from the dollar store. It's a cute, cheap way to decorate and I can see what ribbons I have.

I do a lot of preplanning of my pages, especially if I 'm going to a crop. I don't get into the nitty gritty page design, but I do pick out basics like Jenny's doing. I keep some of these in my scrap tote at all times so I always have something ready to work on.
I also started organizing pictures a little differently. I have always had tons of shoe boxes with chronological pictures sorted inside, and still do. But the categories are most of the time pretty broad. So now, when I come across a small set of photos for which I want to make a page, I group them together in an old style photo album. The 2-8 pics for each layout are stacked in one 4x6 space. Especially when I was using kits and had the papers and colors already picked for me, I could quickly flip through that album and see if I had any presorted pics that would match.
