got this via email from Walgreen's and wanted to share....
Summer is primetime for outdoor photography.
Here are some lighting tips to help you get the best results with various lighting conditions:
Sunny days: Using a flash in bright sunlight can help avoid facial shadows on your subjects. If you have a digital camera, experiment with full and partial flash modes to see which works best. If you use full flash, your subject should be 5 or more feet away.
Overcast days: A flash can help light up faces, but get too close and you may end up highlighting wrinkles! Sometimes the soft light on a cloudy day can actually enhance the colors of flowers or soften lines and shadows
Time of day: The drama of natural light may create a wonderful mood for your photos. Take advantage of the "golden hour," also called the "magic hour." It is the first and last hour of sunlight during the day when your photos tend to be softer and warmer, without the presence of overhead shadows that are common mid-day.
