I sincerely hope that you enjoy the next four tutorials I have planned for you and that you try them and love them and use them on your creations! So let's get started!
PAPER FLOWER TUTORIAL
I thought that I would start off with a fun way to create your own paper flowers for your pages using scraps! Not only will you create a one of a kiind flower, but you will also be using up those smaller pieces of paper!
STEP ONE
Cut various sizes of SQUARE pieces of patterned paper. For the tutorial I used four pieces of paper, measuring 4 inches, 3 3/4 inces, 3 1/2 inches, and 3 inches. Just make sure that your sizes as you cut them get smaller. Start with the bigger size and just cut smaller than that. No real science to it. Try to get them as SQUARE AS POSSIBLE.

STEP TWO
Now take a piece of the square paper and fold it diagonal corner to diagonal corner like this...

You need to do this a second and third time. What you will end up with will still look like a triangle. Just remember to fold to the diagonal corners!

This is what it should look like after folding...

Now do that to all of your remaining pieces of patterned paper like this...

STEP THREE
Now that you have all your folding done, hold up your triangle so that it looks like this and start cutting a semi circle at the top. The end result will look like you are holding a shadow of an ice cream cone.

Do all your triangles like this!

STEP FOUR
Now unfold your little ice cream cone shapes of pp, layer them largest to smallest and you will have your flower!

I sanded my edges of my flower and cut a circle for the center and that is all so far! You can add buttons, jems, bling, just about whatever to the middle of the flower to embellish it!
Here is a flower I made from some book pages, Tim Holtz ink, and then used some glossy accents and bling in the middle.

The possibilities of personalzation on these flowers are ENDLESS! I am soo excited to see you all try it!
All Challenges will be due the last day of September, Midnight PST!
