Here's something that looks very neat on your layouts! By stamping with bleach, you can uncover underlying colors in your cardstock. For example, if you stamp on black cardstock, you can end up with a stamped image that looks brown, red or cream, depending on it's composition. You can even use pastel colors. I got this idea from the UK magazine my MIL sent me!

Here are the instructions:

1. Fold a kitchen towel in the form of a pad that fits the bottom of a container and pour in bleach to create a stamp pad. Place a foam stamp onto the bleach and press lightly to ensure the surface is covered.

2. Place the stamp onto a sheet of cardstock and stamp the image in bleach.

3. Remove the stamp and wait for the color to develop and the bleach to dry.

4. Be sure to clean your stamps with cold water before putting them away because otherwise the bleach is still active.

Enjoy!! :)

You actually don't need a kitchen towel, either, you can use a disposable paper towel or a napkin. One side note, Basic Grey paper does not seem to be affected by the bleach, I just tried it the other day , and it wouldn't change.

I stamped a piece of cardstock yesterday afternoon...word to the wise, keep your windows open...the stink of bleach can be pretty strong! It looks awesome though!

If you're using the stamped paper in you sb, you do need to treat it with something like archival mist. The bleach will keep working and working and working over time, until it takes over the whole page, buffered paper or not.

i was wondering what it would do to your pictures. i have seen diy network using this technique several times and they never talk about archival mist, buffer, etc. but the bleach scared me so i didn't try it. but now i will with those tips! thanks
