In my circle journal LO -- http://www.scraplove.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=2100&catid=member&imageuser=154

I printed the names in white on the photos. It's not difficult, but there are a FEW steps involved.

I did mine in PowerPoint, but you could also do it in Word. (I think PowerPoint makes it a little easier.)

Put the photo on the slide the normal way. (Whatever way you do it.)
Click on "Insert".
Select "Text Box".
Your cursor changes. Use it to draw the outline of the size box you want. The size you draw isn't really important... you can make it bigger or smaller later.
A blinking cursor will appear. Type your text in the box.
Click off the text box. The text will appear black in whatever font is your default.
Now, click on the border of the text box.
Set the color and font you want, and VOILA! You're done!
You can resize the box and move it around anywhere you want. Just click on the text box's border and move it.
(Is that clear as mud?)

Oh, one note: Since you're working in PowerPoint, you're not altering your ORIGINAL photo. So, if it goes bad, just close the PowerPoint and start over again.

BY THE WAY... it's not REALLY white print. It's the color of your paper. Wherever you have "white" lettering, it's actually just NO INK.
